2005 Season Sees Record Attendance
We're just a few weeks into the faire and we've had record attendance. The first two weeks made this year the second biggest year. The forecast for this weekend looks perfect. So expect a record-breaking year. A big huzzah, and thanks to everyone who's made this possible!
Keep an eye out this weekend for a new performance group at Excalibur-the Three Ravens. This fun gypsy duo will take the place of the highly-praised group, Queen's Gambit. Last Friday evening, I joined a few cast members to attend a delightful performance of Shakespeare's MacBeth in Austin . If you're free over the next couple o'weeks, check it out. It benefits The Celtic Cultural Center.

-Bard Marc Gunn, March 2, 2005 Texas Independence Day Parade
Interested in being in representing Excalibur at the Texas Independence Day Parade? It starts Saturday March the 5th at 11:00 am. Congress Avenue will be closed from riverside to the Capitol at 7:00 am for two 5k runs that are taking place as well as our parade.
Staging begins at 8:30 am. Please arrive between 8:30 and 9:30 am. The sign-in table will be setup under the large bat statue located at Barton Springs and Congress. Send one member to the sign-in table to let us know your group is there and we will give you your position in the parade. Parking is available in the TXDot parking lot behind Pinky's pager and on the side of The Austin American Stateman. Any extra vehicles can be parked there as well as an area that can be used to prepare any trailers or other items for the parade.
This year we will be stopping the parade at 7th street to allow several groups to perform for the V.I.P. area at the Stephen F. Austin Hotel. News 8 Austin will also be setup there broadcasting the parade. Please be aware that the parade is stopping and try to prevent it from bunching up. We will have several people posted along the parade route to assist in stopping the procession.
Excalibur Infomercial & Ads
Turn to Time Warner channel 1314 and there's a
4:30 infomercial on the faire.
Plus, our paper ad came out on Friday which was cool.
Sunda there was a photo shoot at the faire. After the news staff shot pictures of the faire, we gave them a paint roller and had them help out on the front gate. Me Lord, it's looking brilliant!
Excalibur is just three weeks away!
